Professional Biography
Academic Council member, University of Kerala
Dr. Prakasan P.M. secured his Ph.D. in
Library & Information Science from the University of Kerala,
Thiruvanamthapuram in 2015. He worked in the Kerala Agricultural University,
Thrissur in 2002, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and
Technology, Thiruvanamthapuram in 2004, University of Kerala from 2005 to 2007
and University of Calicut, Malappuram from 2007 to 2020 as a Library
Professional. Now he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of
Library & Information Science, University of Kerala since 2020. He is an
Associate Editor of the IP Indian Journal of Library and Information Technology
(ISSN: 2456-9623), Assistant Editor of Kelpro Bulletin (ISSN: 0975-4911) and
‘Member of the Reviewer Board’ of Indian Journal of Library Science and
Information Technology. He has secured 2nd Rank in MLISc. Degree
Programme. He has published/presented scholarly papers in journals and
conferences. He is a facilitator of the academic online resources through the
blog Botanical Library and Information System (BOTLIS). It has above 56,500-page viewers from the academic community of the world. He has successfully
completed the following programs:
- Participated in the "Refresher Course in Moodle- Hands-on Training Programme for LMS" organized by IQAC, University of Kerala in association with UGC HRDC, University of Kerala from 05-08-2020 to 18-08-2020.
- Resource Person-Delivered lecture on the topic ‘Open Access Publishing for Scholarly Communication’, in the Lecture Series on Research and Publication Ethics conducted by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Research and Development Cell in association with STRIDE on the date 09-09-2021.
